That's your home town? I like it
Nice mix between nature and civilization

Over here in California, we have been getting storms, usually three or four in a row per week during January. These storms have helped bring down the drought, which is a pleasant surprise after the disappointment that was El Nino.

I just hope it continues next month because February is usually a dry month.

It only looks good in the snow. The place in the picture is about half an hour away from where I live.
Honestly, I wouldn't want to live there. Way too rural. Only old people around, no decent shops for
food or restaurants around, and half of them probably don't even have Internet. I just had to drive
    there for a business appointment.

we got good rain in the month of January that has helped reduce the drought but we still need more.

So that's where the snow is, we don't have any. Kind of miss it, everything looks so dark and dirty

Last Friday an epic storm hit Southern California
Lots of rain and wind in just a day, bringing down numerous trees and flooding around the area.

I will be surprised if the storm didn't reduced considerably the left over drought in the lower part of the state.

Most of August was the right temperature, not too hot or too cold.
Now that we are approaching September, temperature is heating up due the Indian days of Summer approaching as the saying goes. September is going to be long month

Looks like last rainfall season was a special one because so far we have not received much rain for this time of the year.
If this pattern continues, California will go back to drought conditions and wildfires will get worse

Crazy. I hope it won't come to that.

It's been snowing quite a bit here over the weekend. Work tomorrow will be... interesting.

We are finally getting a powerful storm after a dry December.
Is a welcomed change but also it will be problematic since the heaviest rains will affect the burned areas; mudslides and floods

It looks like Winter disappeared here in California and surrounding States
Weather feels like a mix of Spring/Summer and no rain forecast for all month of February
