I saw it on Twitter. I hope that means plenty of puzzles and some mysticism.

    Tomb Raider on Twitter

Shadow Of The Tomb Raider releases on September 14 on all platforms. No exclusivity crap this time.

Considering the PS4 has sold twice the number of units compared to Xbone (74 vs 36 million), pulling an exclusivity crap once more would have been a PR disaster.

I hope this game has less of that Trinity nonsense that plagued the previous release

They have been releasing way too many videos of this game before release, I have been avoiding all of them in order to not have gameplay/plot spoiled

I'm having a very good time so far. I'm taking it very slowly, admiring the view every chance I get.

The game looks a lot better than Rise did. I'm running it on DX12 at full HD, with close to max settings and SMAAx2.
I did have to disable Vsync though, because it doesn't play nice with DX12. Not an issue for me though since I can't
    see any tearing.

(Not all of these pics are of the same visual quality
as I kept changing details and saturation in the early hours.)

All the mechanics have been refined and the levels look stunning. There are more challenge tombs, it seems - sometimes
with easier puzzles, sometimes with puzzles that get you stuck for 10 minutes trying to come up with a solution to a problem. :D

I've spent almost 11 hours on it so far and I'm at ~23% completion. I've done some hunting, killed some Trinity people, explored a
lot on land, underwater, and in trees and crypts. You get more choice regarding skills this time and you can craft outfits on top of
complete outfit changes like in the previous game.

Quite some content is gated behind DLC, which is probably some BS decision by the publisher, so I'd wait until the prices drop a little.
Definitely worth playing though - I'm looking forward to exploring more of the game.

I think you might get a little bit of extra joy out of the game, because it explores the Maya culture.

    Thank you for providing impressions.
I am sure I am going to like it do to the Mayan location. I am not looking forward to facing Trinity enemies, it got old quick in the previous game.

They are still there, but after 12 hours I can say there's a lot less of them. I think I can into 20 of them so far.
Most of my time has been spent hunting, exploring, and solving puzzles.
