    Nvidia announced the 1080 Ti
11 GB? odd number for memory

1080 is dropped to 500 bucks and the 1080 Ti will sell for 699
price is actually lower than I thought it would be

hmmm, thinking of upgrading from 1070 to this model,
    decisions decisions grrr.

    Yeah,
plus Nvidia has shown repeatedly that is not worth buying the Titan cards; this time is much worse with a faster card at nearly half the price.

The 1080 Ti demand is as crazy as when the 1080 was released
in stock cards are sold out within a few minutes after put on sale.

Is made worse by people with 1080 cards upgrading to the Ti's when the new GPU is more fitting to people with 1070 and below.

I will have to think about this one, too much money for one card; I have time to think about it since not many people are buying the Titans and less chance of being sold out like the 1080 Ti's
Seeing some performance numbers first will be nice.

Then who knows what AMD will bring with Vega.
usually the Titan moniker with Nvidia usually means getting screwed later on.

on the 1080 Ti front, I am interested on the Gigabyte AURUS
GIGABYTE GeForce® GTX 1080 Ti Gaming OC 11G | [GIGABYTE AORUS]

Would like to see more of what Galax will have for the HOF 1080 Ti

maybe MSI will bring back their Lighting series.

Just going to wait until AMD releases Vega
I have a feeling that Nvidia is pushing the 1080 Ti and new Titan to milk as much as possible the architecture before competition returns.

If turns out there is no competition, then I will just go ahead and get the 1080 Ti.
By that time there will plenty of stock. At the moment there is too much demand for AIB custom cooling cards; heck people who rushed to buy the referenced cards are now buying the custom ones

The 1080 Ti and Titan Xp were recently released and the chatter is now saying the 2xxx series based on Volta architecture will be released this coming Fall.

Knowing Nvidia's track record, is best to wait.
I have a feeling the 2070 will be as fast as the 1080 Ti is once released, similar to what happened with the 1070 to 980 Ti

I think you should still get one or two. There'll always be new cards in the pipeline and you can just get rid of the cards you don't need again. ;) ;) ;)

I think is better to wait for Volta or Vega
There is chatter that AMD's Vega will be competitive.

If that's the case, as said earlier, Nvidia released these recent cards to milk as much money as possible.

I will rather wait for a card that can do 4k resolution at quality settings. Next time I play Witcher 3, will prefer 4k.

Jesus, look at that thing! Two and a half slots and 33% more power consumption than my card. Insane.

Eh, the 1070 HOF is also two and a half slots, only difference is the length and height with this one

To SLI such cards, you need a board that has the other PCIE slot with about four spaces of separation
