The last few days all my fans qre running at 100% all the time, not just when im playing games that put stress on my system. I had installed Speedfan, which used to show 3 fans running no more than 50%, and lately they're all at 100% all the time. Temps are all in the normal range according to Speedfan.

I've tried playing with Speedfan, but tbh it's difficult to understand how to use it/ It seems to be for tech heads more than dummies like me.

Anyone know of any way of easily reducing fan speeds when my PC is simply idling or im surfing, and not using many resources?

Do you have SpeedFan still installed?
I remember that I had similar problems when I had it installed on my old system. That was years ago, so I don't remember what exactly happened, but after disabling/uninstalling it, everything was fine again.

Do you have a processor which supports being downclocked when idle?

If so you could check in the BIOS if that option is enabled.

Another thing: have the fans collect an amount of dust maybe? That could make them
    become more noisy too.
