Hey fellas. We have a TON of different topics about particular hardware in here, but they all seem to pretty much die after a week or two, because they are related to that one topic, which runs out quickly.

I thought it would be nice to have a one general topic, where we could post awesome stuff related to hardware or software that we come across our daily journeys on the web.

As you may know, there is a PAX East 2015 event is happening at the moment, and many companies showcase their cool stuff for general public.

I will be the first to start then. During my morning coffee break I always check my YouTube subscriptions and this video was in my feed today.

These systems look absolutely stunning. The amount of work that went into them is phenomenal and the detail is superb.

I saw the vid this morning. Too bad they will probably be used once and then disassembled.

We could use this topic for stuff we normally don't talk about in other threads

to start, while looking at Silverstone cases, came up to this industrial type case.

look at that filter, in comparison consumer type cases come with puny air filters lol

Cleaned the fan in a laptop today, the poor thing was fighting for air and was about to take off.

Yep, laptops are more susceptible to dust due to everything being cramped in a small space.

How long did it take you to complete the process?

It took me about 15-20 minutes. This is the third time I do it to this particular model, so I pretty much know every inch of it.

Most of the time I spent unscrewing 234 screws

    Edit:

It's not about the size of the inside. It's because of the location or air vents, mostly. 99% of the time the vents are located at the bottom, and people place them in all kinds of places without even considering. Bed, carpet, clothing etc. shit like this has tons of dust. The airflow, man

I saw that, and indeed it does. Also, it's an insanely ridiculous way to cool your processor!

It bugs me to see that he is not taking more ESD precautions, who knows if that mat is ESD safe.
The mat is not enough to prevent electrostatic discharge.

    anyhow.
