Yesterday, the computer started to act weird, it started to freeze and comeback over 10sec, several times.
This morning it worked fine so I thought oh well

    This afternoon:
I get a error saying something is wrong with hardware/software and I cant start up windows.

I choosed 'start with lasttime it worked settings.
Took a while with the windows loading screen to get nowhere, then the mouse shows up, 5mins later I got no connection with the gcard.

Everytime I start it up this happend.

So what the HELL is wrong with it this time?

i take it, that both mouse and keyboard were non responsive when the pc froze?
if thats the case, and the pc actually came back after 10 seconds, id have to
say it sounds like the harddrive dying.

Windows dident start, I got the error dirctly after loading the mothercard then its supose to be loading windows.

Now its even more weird, it starts when loading the starting program such as steam, sidepanel etc, now I have taken the internet cable to this computer and it actually seems to be working better without it. :S

ok, first of all. take an external hdd/flash drive and back up all the important data you don't wanna lose.

afterwards, dl hdtune (the free version) and do health check and error scan.

    burn a dvd then lol..

it may not be the hdd. i just don't know of any other symptom that would freeze a pc temporarily.
no matter what it is though, you should do backups as soon as possible.

I will do that later, after getting a backup.

I asked one of the computer geeks (he even said it himself) at work and he thinks its the RAM that is going kaputt cos of its freezings, luckly I got 2 or 4 cant remember, never used to test with, but blaer and the rest, can it be the RAM? what do you think?

Why would it suddenly have not enough RAMs if he had used the machine for years?

    My guess it's HDD.

I am going with the HDD, but you could check your RAM. It can also be a memory slot of
your mainboard. Though usually that would end up causing a BSOD.

To check, take out 3 of the 4 memory dimm's and try if it starts acting up again.
