The 16 core and 12 core Threadripper CPUs were released a couple of days ago. Impressive processor AMD just released.
The only down side at the moment is that motherboard makers are slow to release their products and cooling solutions are limited.

Vega is kind of a disappointing but Navi is where to look forward to, as someone posted in another forum.

So apparently Far Cry 5 will have a lot of Vega support, according to an announcement on Twitter:

Defy Convention with AMD Radeon RX Vega | Forums

Twitter is a great information source for me. I follow accounts by musicians, game developers, current events, and for software updates.
But Far Cry 5 is still half a year away and they've been spamming stuff like art contests and this AMD stuff, so I had to unfollow them for
now. Will check back in February maybe. All they do is tease gameplay for something you can't play until next year. That's good for when
you want to make people aware your stuff exists but Ubisoft is overdoing it a bit with Far Cry, I feel. Because usually, I don't mind.

Anyways, I'm glad there'll be AMD stuff in the game, but I hope they won't abandon the Nvidia specific features for it. I'm not switching
anytime soon, so if the game won't support any Nvidia features besides the basics, I probably won't buy it.

I realize that this is somewhat how AMD GPU owners must've felt over the last years, but it's not like it's my job to balance out the GPU
market. I use what's the best value for me.

Moved your post to this thread since I am moving away from the other thread due to the original subject being a bleak one.

    Anyhow
I think AMD should not have bothered making this type partnership with Vega GPUs
They should just cut their loses and look forward to Navi. Even if they add Vega features, the horsepower isn't there to provide benefits.
