I think putting in normal cars is a great idea. Especially one's from the 80's, although when not playing missions the music is really the only thing to remind us its a game set in the 80's. The cars that you listed gogo are very well modelled and the creators obviously put in the hours on these babies. It's a lot easier to appreciate them, than ones just ripped from NFS:U with a few vomit inducing designs slapped on. My favourite type of cars for Vice are muscle and normal ones, rice is for eating :P .

I like normal cars too! I won't be putting ricers ingame only but I gotta say that I like'em very much - you wont get me persuaded to keep my VC ricer-free...lol!

I have a lot of normal cars in my game. Sometimes I like to steal a car from a parking lot... and drive "normal" thru the city - you know, like stopping when red...not overtaking other cars...not hitting peds (rofl)...and after I crashed against some other car (which happens rarely lol) I step in front of the other car and tell this driver about my oppinion about his car...you can imagine how his car's gon' look like after...

lol, I remember doing that a bit in the original GTA, obeying taffic lights and trying not to kill anyone. Trying to park without setting off alarms on the other cars was good for a laugh. I wouldn't say I hate ricemobiles, its just that the ones on the roads here are always getting in people's way, and are usually driven by rich turds whose parents obviously bought the car for em, but I digress :roll::lol:. I sometimes throw a well made ricer into Vice to test em out and using em in the Sunshine Auto races is a bit of extra fun.

One of most tipical spanish cars, as extra1 have serran ham, brik wine, bottle wine, cheese, a spanish flag, 2 tapes with the greatests hits of el fary and julio iglesias, one "L" signal of a new driver with license driver, and a black ribbon in memoriam of march 11... nice ;)

I can remember "Almdudler" building a scratch Porsche like this one. But it was like 3mb...packed!...So I'm quite happy seeing another one like his being around 800kb... easier to handle for my game! Besides all the other great cars...and I have to agree. Fits kinda perfectly into VC! :D

I agree, it fits perfectly into VC, this Porsche has the perfect look & flair.

The Porsche from Almdudler wasnt scratch-build, it was a conversion.
The model was original built by FiveSpeed, I dont remember now for what game, I think some of the NFS for sure, maybe NFS4 or 5.
Who cares.

Only Bonsaijodelfisch made a scratch Porsche, a 911 2.7 RS.
For me, its a nice car, but an too old one :P

So I prefer FragDiebs Porsche :D
And as I can see, it is really scratch-built.
And not to forget, with only 750kb zipped, this car is a real highlight because of its quality and the filesize. (not so important though).
Textures & polygons are more important.
The polygons are not that too much (22000) and this model hasnt got huge-ass textures. :)

To me side from blaer, the best author that release normal cars is Bigfoot/Carface
man i love his models, like the ford LTD and the chevy caprice

I agree about the Caprice, it's an excellent car and fits into the time theme great. It's the type of car I was hoping to see in SA if it had been set in the 70's. It's also been made into a great police car which I had in the game up until recently, when I put in the voodoo police car for a change.

Yep, the best normal cars I've seen are from blaer, Carface & Sin5k4.
I've got them all in my game, since I am not the ricer fanatic :roll:
Carface's Plymouth Cuda & Ford F-150 rocks.
blaers best cars imo are the Jeep Wrangler (:drool:) & Thunderbird (double drool).
Of course, Yazu made some awesome normal cars like the Camaro RS-SS and the Plymouth Roadrunner aswell (my favourites)
