Yesterday was the day of the day for every Guild Wars buff. The Factions sneak peek was opened. Thereafter everyone was able to test the two new character classes. From the visual perspective the two of them are looking great. The developers did a great job in creating two very nice classes.

As well from what I saw so far the skills are very interesting and different to what is available for the other classes.

First I tested was an assassin.

Problem is that from the beginning you have not one skill. You've to unlock them at first from the priest of Balthasar and therefor you need these Balthasar refunds (don't know if this is the proper word, 'cause my game is in German). So if you never played in the arenas or PvP before, then you start with nothing, beside the skills you unlocked already in the full game from your secondary class.

It's more or less a pure close combat character, using dual daggers combined with skills supporting them. I combined the assassin class with a monk, focusing on high damage and high health regeneration, which appeared as rather effective. Minus of this combination is that you've to be able to come close to your enemy at first. This could be a hard job if she/he is running like a chicken or is only acting from the distance.

At all this charcter is interesting to play.

I've spent 7 hrs playing in the PvP weekend now... maybe i should buy GW after all, it's a lot of fun. And normally i don't even like PvP, i'm more of a PvE person.
I'm not in the screenshots though... :P
Balthasar refunds (don't know if this is the proper word, 'cause my game is in German)
It's Faction in English ;)

Also, when you use the client for the weekend with the European key and make a new account with it, you can choose from premade builds that do have a good combination of 8 skills unlocked.

The premade Ritualist build is mainly a healer build. I can't say much about it, because i'm a GW noob... :P

I passed the pre-build ones so far, but I'll have a look at them if the have already unlocked skills. Thx for the hint.

And Guild Wars isn't only about PvP. The RPG part is much fun as well. This game is for sure a best buy :) .

And here're some shots from the ritualist. It's the total opposite to the assassin. The ritualist is very deffensive, mostly supporting his fellows. As with the assassin, all was done perfectly as well. The animations, the weaponry, the armor, the skills and and and.

If you play as a ritualist in a team, it's mostly up to the team to cause the damage and it's your job to keep them alive and only to do a final strike here and there. But belive me, this can be fun as well :) .

I loved the Ritualist, it can heal like crazy. With a team of me as Rt/Mo, a Rt/Me and two others, we won 11 times in a row in random arena. The resurrecting skill is really helpful too.

Nice screenshots. I don't see myself in them... :P

The RPG part is still addictive to me, especially if you play together with others. Every group is different and therefor, independent if you know the quest dependent on the group a different approach is necessary. It ranged from that I was barely be able to keep up with the group, up to that I did the major work and resurrected all the time.
