READ THIS ALL VERY CAREFULLY AS IT DIRECTLY AFFECTS YOUR ACCESS TO THESE BOARDS.

While these forums are the property of The_Borg Gaming Site this place is meant to be as a place all like to visit. So there are certain rules that need to be followed.

Spam. *sigh* I certainly don't like to have it here. Spamming is either posting multiple times about the same thing or starting multiple topics about the same thing. There are other actions that are considered as spam such as constantly posting off-topic as well as providing links that have nothing to do with these forums. Spam will be deleted without warning. Constant spamming will result in assignment of a ban warning and at last in permanent ban.

Be polite. Treat others in your messages as you would like to be treated, yourself. Any and I mean any insults to others will be deleted immediately followed by assignment of a ban warning. Continuous insulting will result in permanent ban.

Starting an argument. There is no place for that on these message boards. Topics that are designed to start a flame war will be deleted without warning followed by assignment of a ban warning. Repetition of this will result in constant ban.

Stay on-topic. There will be some leniency on this, and I don't mind if you bring in another idea or two, but stay focused. If you think it's a good enough topic, start a new thread about it. This also prevents losing a good idea in a thread about another topic. Threads that wander off-topic will be closed and trimmed.

Illegal topics. Warez, porn, copyrighted material, etc. are not welcome here and will be removed without warning followed by assignment of a ban warning. This includes releases of any kind of game modifications without proper permission or use of stolen parts, textures or any kind of copyrighted material. Repetition of this will result in constant ban.

Impersonating. Attempting to pose as a me The_Borg or other registered users here will not be tolerated and will result in the deletion of that username. This also applies to clever variations of registered names.

Profanity, racial discrimination and any kind to show bad manners doesn't belong here. Messages of this kind will be edited or deleted followed by assignment of a ban warning. Repetition of this will result in constant ban.

I reserve the right for me and the moderators to edit, delete, or ban for our own reasons - without warning.

Failure to follow these rules will result depends on what happens a warning or a constant ban. More serious violations of these rules may result in further steps taken with your ISP or higher authorities.

So follow these rules and make this forum a place where all folks like to be. The intention of this forum is to have fun and to share your thoughts with others. And keep in mind that respect is cool and works both ways.

If you have any questions about any of these rules, please e-mail admin@theborggaming.net

Just another rule one should try to obey:

If you're new to the whole Forum thing then please look at one thing when you're replying to a topic: All topics are ordered by the last time a post was made in one of these topics. So in a list of Topics, a topic where a post was made some mins ago will be positioned higher in the list than a topic in which the last post was made a month ago.

Date of post is shown in every single post:

http://user.blue-cable.de/sticky/Borg/post_date.jpg

So if you post in a topic which is pretty 'old', then only post if you have an important question or something really relevant to add to the topic then it's okay if you 'bump' that topic back up. BUT IF your reply has nothing to do with the topic, is all in all senseless or doesn't add anything relevant to the topic then please don't bump this topic, since it will only mess up the structure of everyday life on these message boards! If you are not sure weather to make a post or not, you can always send a Private Message (PM) to one of the Moderators (http://www.theborggaming.planet-multiplayer.de/phpBB2/groupcp.php?g=128) (cos the admin is always pretty busy hehe). Therefor click on one of the moderator's name and you should get to the Moderator's (Moderators aka Mods) profile. Now you only have to click on the PM button to send a PM. No moderator will tell you your post would be useless or anything. He will just help you to decide whether to bump a topic or open a new one. In some cases the Mod will also be able to answer your question right away - or to forward an information to the admin or whatever the issue of your message will be.

You won't be banned for bumping a topic though, if you don't do that kind of stuff just to bug the people visiting these forums - everyone makes mistakes. But if you keep bumping old topics without regarding what I described, then don't wonder if you get a PM from one of the Moderators or the Admin to stop doing that immediately. So try to respect these rules. Thank you.

Don't reply to this post - just obey what is said, thanks!

Nice to see a good strong set of rules, and the one by Sticky is important imo as people have just been bumping old topics for no reason. Anyway im sure I can stay with 7 of the 9 rules above. :)

7 of Nine

Hahaha lmao...

I don't think GT was pointing at the Star Trek character 7 of Nine, Borg. He
was just kidding - but I'm not sure... and now I get the joke and it's great...

Star Trek?

Rules 2 and 3 seems a little dodgy in my eyes, but then again rules are rules.
